• CONSULTATION:  $ 200 set fee up to 1 hour for initial discussion. Additional $ 50 each half hour thereafter will be assessed. The initial $ 200 may be applied to any invoice over $ 1,500 within 60 days of the consult.  This fee only covers on-site evaluations; recommendations, problem solving and proficient irrigation scheduling (NOTE: troubleshooting the system may take more than one hour), plant health issues; disease and insects, weed abatement.  Discussions on how best to implement your design ideas including an overall project sketches or computer generated design can be produced. If you desire extra information for more research off site, a price is given for that work.

• DESIGN FEE:  May not be necessary for jobs smaller than an average front yard because I am able to produce these little dreams in my head.  A smaller job may incur nominal planning fees, for the time to evaluate logistics and draw up the proposal; you will be apprised of that price before commencement.

• DESIGN FEE $ 2,000 and up:  A garden plan is essential for large, specialized projects where designated written details and graphics are necessary for the successful outcome where everyone is on the same page. During the on-site consult a price is given. Scouting for unique materials is included in this process. A hard copy of the design is tailored to your request. This can be either a simple hand-drawn reference layout or computer generated pages denoting such items as: hardscape, trees, perennials, irrigation, lighting and containers… A "plot plan" (your property and building laid out on paper), will facilitate the planning and keeps your design fee lower. You get a proposal for the finalized installation included in the design fee. Once the design has been approved, subsequent changes to the design will be assessed. After the down payment of 1/2 the design fee, the design includes up to two meetings to confirm we are in agreement or need to make changes to the design. If additional meetings are necessary, the standard fees for consulting commence.

INSTALLATION OF A LARGE PROJECT:  Price is assessed to the complexity of your project as defined my a written written proposal, itemizing: materials, deliveries, labor and tax. This secures your exclusive “KOBY time”. These Large projects require added responsibility and comprehensive involvement thus incurring a greater cost: hiring - supervising and instructing laborers, acquisition of materials and transporting (minor deliveries), project management, etc... So we will have to discuss a budget area to aim for.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO BREAK UP THE OVERALL DESIGN INTO SEVERAL DIFFERENT STAGES IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO DO IT ALL AT ONCE:  though completing and installation in one sweep will save you money compared to several different set-ups and tear-downs.

• MATERIALS COST IS PER ITEM - NOT DELIVERY, LABOR OR INSTALLATION: We generate income on materials, so we do not give away our sources; this is part of how we make our livelihood.

• DELIVERIES: The prices will vary with the amount of materials and distance as set by the company which is shipping them. These are for larger items or quantity or from areas outside our easy reach. (When we are collecting smaller batches of materials from local distributors we are charging only labor by the hour that is included as part of our day’s labor fee.)

• PROPOSALS & INVOICES: Once a price is agreed upon it is solid. We are an experienced, detail oriented business. We will not surprise our clients with extra charges during the job. On extremely rare occations the unforeseen can happen including: water or rock/cement formations underground that alter time and materials; or impediment of work from forces of nature or others outside Koby’s Garden Alchemy Inc's. employ. If a proposal seems too expensive, sometimes the cost can be adjusted down by using smaller plants to start with or dividing the proposal up into separate installations. We take on very few new clients each year and prefer to concentrate on one installation at a time and finish it as soon as reasonable.  Collections of remaining balances are due in full within 30 days after the completion of a project, unless arrangements have been made prior.
